These intricate, statement chandelier earrings are made of 5 layers of Brass and three colour, hand cast Jesmonite in carbon, blush and ink or Stainless Steel and black, nude and amber. The motifs are 29mm x 23mm and drop 80mm long to chin length. The findings are gold or silver plated.
Jesmonite is a composite stone a little like concrete but is designed to look like natural stone, I developed the three colour casting technique for this collection. It has a matt finish, feels like natural stone, and has a slightly sparkly finish, like you would find in granite.
Brass is a shiny gold coloured metal and needs to be cared for in a similar way to silver, it is best stored in a box and polished from time to time to restore the shine. Stainless steel is very hard wearing and doesn’t tarnish. It can be cleaned with a metal polish such as Brasso.
Lanta is part of the Structure collection, inspired by the idea of revealing the hidden structures that make up the world around us. This piece uses the idea of slicing through layers to reveal the makeup inside.
